I have this beautiful ceiling, velvet, that my dog is a mess, but some I can put it in the washer / dryer. ... I do not want to ruin a board would be great!

Wash in cold water, hang up your velvet mild soap and cover on a gentle cycle and dry - or dry in the new cycle of hair - if you do not fit gently into the dryer and then have to hang in the shower or on a bar clothesline.
